The primary mission of Loudoun Communications has always been customer service. Loudoun combines the highest quality service and repair with sales designed to meet the customers’ specific needs. Our Systems Engineers work with our Sales Engineers and other specialists to provide communications solutions.

Established in 1975

loudoun communicationsLoudoun Communications originated in Loudoun County, Virginia in 1975. In 1978 the principals, Gary, Norene and Ed Poorman, relocated to Douglasville, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta, where the business was re-established. Loudoun was a home based business until 1984 when the company opened a shop on Factory Shoals Rd. in Austell, Georgia.

Loudoun Moves to Larger Facility

After outgrowing our original location, Loudoun purchased property and built the current facility on Stitcher Court in Douglasville. This office opened in November 2007.

We offer a wide variety of communications products and services including Two-Way Radio, Microwave Systems, Multi-Point Data Systems, Communication Consoles, Telemetry Systems, Weather Warning Sirens, Propagation Studies and the development of customized specialty items not available commercially.

Loudoun is an Authorized Dealer and Service Center for L3Harris

Loudoun also provides products by L3Harris, Kenwood, ICOM, Microwave Data Systems, Phoenix Contact, David Clark, Sho-Me and numerous other products and accessories.

Loudoun Communications has maintained our status with L3Harris since 1982. Originally GE, then Ericsson, and ComNet, L3Harris is an innovator in the field of two-way radios. Loudoun continues to be involved with newly developed technologies.

Loudoun Provides Quality Service

Quality service has always been the cornerstone of Loudoun Communications. Our staff includes  system engineers, system specialists, programmers, IT professionals, project managers, systems managers and support personnel.  The ability to meet and exceed customer expectations has allowed Loudoun to expand into multiple facets of communications.  Loudoun maintains both dealership and warranty repair facility status for many companies including L3Harris, Kenwood, ICOM and Midland.

By repairing radios and communications equipment to the component level, Loudoun is able to keep repair costs down and speed up return time.  At all times, there are over 4000 parts available in stock to accomplish this.  In addition to warranty repairs for our customers, Loudoun handles national repairs for L3Harris and other shops throughout the United States.
